Why is the ACL getting involved?

The charitable commitment of the Automobile Club du Luxembourg (ACL) reflects its desire to actively contribute to a more caring society and the protection of the environment. By supporting local initiatives, the ACL aims to strengthen its role as a responsible actor within the Luxembourg community. This commitment is part of a long-term approach to promote positive actions for the well-being of all and the preservation of wildlife.

Here are the details of our donations:

  • 1,200 euros to the Fleegestatioun fir wëll Déieren

Thanks to the care provided by the Fleegestatioun fir wëll Déieren, many animals can be saved and returned to the wild. Every year, it gives countless wild animals a second chance at life. In 2022 alone, 3,719 animals were rescued and cared for. This figure reflects the deep commitment of the centre and all those who work there on a daily basis. With patience and dedication, they offer much more than just care: they give animals a second chance at life. Every animal that is cared for and released back into the wild is a victory for biodiversity and a reminder of our shared responsibility to preserve our environment.

  • 1,200 euros for the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner

The Fondation Kriibskrank Kanner helps children with cancer and their families by providing financial, psychological and social support. Its tireless commitment ensures that the families affected are not left alone.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family’s life is turned upside down. The Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner supports affected children and their families through this difficult time by providing psychological support, financial assistance and social support. In addition to practical help, the foundation also provides important emotional support: it listens and is there when things get tough. Its work gives courage, hope and the certainty that you are not alone.

  • 1,200 euros for Ambulanz Wonsch

The team at Ambulanz Wonsch makes the dearest dreams of seriously ill people at the end of their lives come true: seeing the sea again, attending a concert, visiting their hometown or saying goodbye to their loved ones. With specially equipped ambulances, medical support and a lot of heart, volunteers make these final journeys possible, which are unforgettable and comforting not only for those involved, but also for their loved ones.

  • 1,200 euros for SEPA Escher Déiereschutzveräin & 1,200 euros for Déierenasyl Gasperich

The SEPA Escher Déiereschutzveräin, which takes in around 700 animals a year, and the Déierenasyl Gasperich, which cares for nearly 1,000 animals every year, play an essential role in the protection and welfare of animals in Luxembourg. Thanks to their unwavering commitment, these shelters offer abandoned and abused animals a second chance, while raising awareness in society about animal welfare and responsible adoption.
